My interests in public policy has shifted from a previous life as a party political activist to that of an academic and analyst. I have have particular interests in the public policy areas of health and employment and have produced published and peer reviewed material on both of these.
I also have longstanding interests in the public sector, local government and EU law and have a consultancy record in each of these.
I currently run a website called Essays in Health Policy where I write about various policy subjects related to the NHS, public health and health reform.
